If you follow these simple tips you will see that it will not be an impossible mission as you think.

  1. Create a separate working environment

With Fido wandering around the house, the risk is that you can get distracted easily and therefore waste time and work badly. I challenge anyone to not want to cuddle a tender puppy or play with him. The best way not to risk the dog interrupting you in the middle of a conference call or while you are about to finish writing a letter is to stay in two separate rooms of the house. You will be able to concentrate to the point of alienating yourself and not hurting the environment in which you are at that moment anymore.

  1. Plan breaks for you

To keep Fido out of your “reach” you have to organize breaks from work; in those minutes play and pamper your four-legged friend. You will see that these interactions will increase your understanding and your dog will begin or continue to obey you. A 15-20 minute break with Fido is better than a stroll on social networks or a chat on the phone or replying to messages on whatsapp.

  1. Provide physical and mental stimuli

If you notice that your dog is anxious or bored at home or may begin to bite objects or engage in destructive behavior by actually interrupting your work (maybe even while the boss has video called you!) Make sure you always provide new physical and mental stimuli. Like? On the market there are many toys suitable and safe for the dog, you will be spoiled for choice.

  1. Don’t get softened

It is very likely that the dog will try to attract your attention at different times of the day if not continuously. He can then cry, try to come to your room, knock on the door. You will have to “keep your fist” and not let them break the established rules so don’t get softened.

  1. Be flexible

Smart working often involves different efforts during the days: sometimes you will be inundated with things to do, other days you will be there waiting for new orders from above for the next assignment. For this reason, respecting the established and routine rules will be difficult and the dog could get confused. You will therefore have to learn to be flexible and you will see that even working together with Fido will be wonderful.
