Of the Koala it is commonly known that he lives in Australia, that is a marsupial and who spends his days eating leaves of eucalyptus and to take naps. But if they asked us what is the verse of the koala we probably won’t know what to answer or maybe we’ll start thinking they are dumb.

The koala, like all animals, makes a very specific verse that it uses to communicate with its fellows, but perhaps it’s not what you expect from this adorable animal!

The koala verse, unlike what we can imagine, is a sound from very low frequencies. The larynx of these animals, in fact, is positioned lower than other animals and this gives them the ability to emit a long and low vocal tract.

The reason for this anatomical aspect is soon explained: researchers from the University of Vienna in collaboration with the University of Queensland in Australia found that the koalas that emitted the lowest frequency sounds were the ones that most often had the best during mating competitions. There natural selectiontherefore, over time it may have preferred the specimens with the lower larynx.

But now there is little else to add and leave room for the only way to fully understand the verse of the koala, this mysterious one.
